Bentrol designs and builds switchboards for mines, hospitals, sports stadiums and everything between. We also design, install, commission and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and Access Control Systems.
Bentrol started out in 2011 offering mechanical-electrical, Building Management System and Access Control services. It wasn't long after that Chris realised that custom switchboards would also be a necessary part of the business.
The original team was made up of the previous Bendigo Health Building Management Systems department. This means that the team is familiar with not only mechanical-electrical, BMS and access control systems but also government policies and procedures. This understanding allows Bentrol to hit the ground running even in the largest of environments and identify potential issues and risks before they arise.
After almost a decade of steady expansion, Bentrol recently relocated to a new purpose built factory at 38 Piper Lane, East Bendigo in October of 2020.
Bentrol was brought to reality in 2011. The initial team was predominantly comprised of members of the previous Bendigo Health Building Management Systems Department. This means that although Bentrol is relatively new, the team offers decades worth of experience and have been together since well before 2011.
Our team is currently comprised of 20 professionals from varying trades and disciplines. We pride ourselves on our diversity of knowledge. Many of us come from vastly different backgrounds. The team includes experienced electrical engineers, 3D designers, IT professionals, project managers, electricians, sheetmetal fabricators, electrical fitters and more.

The Bendigo Hospital had two stages which spanned from 2013 to 2018 (not including the early works which started in December of 2011 and was one of Bentrol's earliest contracts). The first stage involved installing the BMS and access control systems in the new hospital. The second stage built upon the first and included decomissioning of the old systems.
